The Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarm (England) Regulations 2015 require landlords to install carbon monoxide alarms in any room used as living accommodation where solid fuel is used. However as gas appliances may emit carbon monoxide, it is encouraged to ensure working carbon monoxide alarms are installed where there are gas appliances.
