1. Activity tab
Keeping track of the lifecycle of a contract is vital in the initial contracting stages as bottlenecks can prevent the contract from being signed. Every Legislate agreement has an activity tab which provides an audit trail of key contract events and term updates. The invitation and signature process can be easily monitored from this tab and parties can post reminders to the other side via the chat functionality.
2. Company search
Finding the registered details of a company you are contracting with can take time and usually involves a visit to Companies House. With Legislate you can search any company either by name or company number and its registered details will be automatically fetched from Companies House and filled in for you.

3. Managing team members
Creating a contract often involves more than one team member because the person creating is not always the person signing. In Legislate you can easily add and manage team members. Simply click on your team’s name in the sidebar and invite them via email. You can equally remove team members if they move on.
4. Deleting contracts
When you are first getting started with Legislate you might want to create draft contracts. You might even want to invite yourself to a contract to experience the flow before inviting the parties you plan to contract with. Rest assured that you can delete draft contracts from your dashboard until they are fully executed. However, please note that a draft contract can’t be deleted if it reaches the fully executed, completed state.
5. Contract metrics
Knowing where your outstanding contracts are and how long it takes you to reach each stage is critical for streamlining your contracting process. The Legislate contract metrics are computed each time a contract is updated and help you determine where contracts are being held up and how long they spend on average in each stage. The contract clock will also remind you about key contract events such as expiries, renewals and anniversaries.
